Project1 Graphic Identity Poster

My company is designing and marketing for middle aged women who have grown beyond trends and have a style of their own. My client appreciates art, antiques, and perhaps above all quality. In her life ‘Everything Finds Its Place’. My branding emphasizes her objects, but still beautifully displays our furniture. I attempted to create a scene displaying my sense of style, rather than simply showcasing my product – moreover, I strived for a emotional attachment to my client rather than educating her about the technicalities of the piece. My competition offered me clues as to how to show my product. Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and Pier One all use narrative photography to strongly express their style and I wanted to follow in their footsteps. Color Theory, 2Ddesign and photography were all important in creating this image and Photoshop was used to correct its color; the piece was saturated while the background was de-saturated etc.
