Using Photoshop students incorporated their original furniture designs into the outlined Concept/Context brief. Starting with a review of the elements and principles of design they matched their work with a theme that best met the objectives of the brief. Their task was outlined as followed:
1. Research: Identify at least 4 graphic poster designs that you can use as inspirations for your design. The designs may come from print, books or web sources. Make copies of your reference materials for use in your final presentation and blog postings. One of the designs should be really bad. Be prepared to identify the negative elements in the design.
2. Data Acquisition: Using a digital camera take photographs of your original artwork work that will be incorporated into your poster design. Use Photoshop to color-correct and prepare your image for your poster design.
3. Graphic Design:
Their designs had the following Layered Elements in Photoshop:
• Original Artwork
• Banner Text:"The Elements and Principles of Design"
• Text: The Element or Principle of Design Emphasized in Your Design
• Text: At least 1 Photoshop layer Style
• Background
