I chose to focus on the Form and Movement as my Element and Principle because the inner light accentuates and permeates the the folds of the FDM lamp. Influences on the graphic style were the gallery and exhibition posters of Swiss graphic designer Werner Jeker, a. I emulated his simple, clean, layouts and incorporated his use of black and white as predominant colors. The main tools that I used were the polygonal lasso, marquees, guides, layer styles on my text, and the gaussian blur. The working critique suggested that I needed to reconsider my text, which was a generic sans serif, and replace it with something that related more to the curvilinear folds of the lamp.
