Caffey Designs specializes in sustainable design, while maintaining a clean modern aesthetic. As a company we strive to keep up with modern design and materials to suit the modern home and lifestyle. We want each piece to make the individual interact and understand the piece as a whole. This is done by being true to the material and not hiding anything underneath.
We design custom furniture to be unique through a mixture of organic and non organic materials. Our typical customer would range from the upper 20s to the upper 50s. Our designs have a modernized retro style, that is RTA. This allows it to travel allowing people to have affordable, quality, transportable furniture.
An ideal candidate for my furniture would be David Lee. He has just graduated from college and gotten his first big job. He wants to move into the city but cant afford to keep moving all his old bulky furniture. David decides it is time to rid of his old college stained furniture and replace it with new furniture that can be boxed up and shipped to his new downtown house.
Poster Design
The poster was designed around the two words to represent my chair & table design. The chair and table make up a set that has sharp lines and details creating repetition. I mimicked the chairs aesthetics through my poster design by using set of miss matching gradients that give the design motion and borders. The lettering is a simple fill and stroke effect placed above the gradient lines. Using the polygonal lasso tool I cut out borders around the chair renders into the gradient effects.
