For this project I was inspired by my last project (the process board), as well as diamond quilt patterns, 3D cube optical illusions, and triangular repeat patterns. I began by making a template on my master page, and then for each spread, I just copied, pasted, and rotated the layout 90 degrees for each page. I left out a background, opting for plain white margins to make the already busy layout less hectic. For the front and back covers, I made an Illustrator file with the design I had in mind, opened it in Photoshop to cut the covers in half, and then placed the separate images on the front and back covers in InDesign. I had two paragraph styles set in place, one for the right pages, and one for the left pages. Some changes I had made during the working critique were small changes to the layout and re-coloring of the front cover. I pulled the colors of the front cover out of the images in the teaser to keep and color cohesion throughout my book.
