I designed these two posters to form one larger poster. The majority of my time was spent between on-site photography of the real stool and creating convincing CG images using Solidworks, Hypershot, and then final corrections and additional reflections, shadows, and lighting effects in Photoshop. In Illustrator I made use of the gradient tool for the subtitle banners. I built a color pallette by sampling the images I used in the poster and also using the "Color Guide" within Illustrator. I also used the color guide from http://www.colorschemer.com/. I resisted the temptation to incorporate too many "tricks" from Illustrator. I find without a specific need, and in the hands of a novice graphic designer like myself, that simpler is just gooder. : )
