Project 2 illustrator

At MoSo we strive to provide environmentally friendly furnishings for the home while acknowledging new technologies and innovations. Our target market is middle to upper middle class and are between the ages of 25 and 45. Our pieces are handcrafted allowing for great attention to detail which provides years of enjoyment with our products.

My design was inspired by nature, in particular the geometric yet organic shape of a flower. I wanted to create a piece that showed the beauty of nature. I achieved this by adding a geometric flower shape to my table. The white paint and raw wood grain add interesting contrast, allowing the viewer to appreciate the craftsmanship that went into creating this piece and enjoy the soothing curves of nature embedded in modern design.

Some inspirations in the design of my concept and context boards are as follows:

I like the way that they both have smaller images/areas and a focal image. The human eye naturally feels comfortable looking from left to right. I took that concept from one of the boards and applied it to my own. Having the smaller images on the left and the main image on the right make for a flowing transition.
